bei der Oper gallery
The Galerie bei der Oper specialises in Japanese woodblock prints and works of Japanese art. It is located opposite the Vienna Opera (hence its name) and attracts customers from all over the world. It also runs an online shop. When the gallery opened in 2013, it was a dream come true for director Andreas Wurzer, who had been working as an art dealer for eight years.
The website offers a wide range of original Japanese woodblock prints, including classic ukiyo-e from the Edo and Meiji periods, shin-hanga and sosaku-hanga.
The gallery also features an exclusive selection of European prints and a special section for netsuke.
